Brief Description: Backing strips for lens cover-Right
Today was a repeat of previous session-except this time was the right tip. I cut out 2 backing strips from .025 scrap, marked and punched holes. Drilled holes up to #28, used nut plate jig to drill holes, c/s holes with deburr tool for NAS1097 rivets. Squeezed in 12 rivets, scuffed up back with #60 grit. Drilled a bunch of 1/16” holes to help bond the strip to the inside of the tip. C/S holes in plexi, screwed everything together to check fit.—Done! It wasn’t warm enough to mix resin today, but tomorrow should be ok.
