Brief Description:  Wire USB to Dynon connector, add resistor-xponder

I took apart the DB37 connector for the Dynon screen. It took a lot more time than I thought it should just to extract 4 pins for the USB cable. The plastic pin removal tool I had broke after the first pin was removed. I have another tool (metal one-higher quality), but had to search for a long time to locate it. After the 4 pins were removed, I crimped on new pins and inserted into the connector. Actually, there aren’t pins in the connector, they are the barrels that the pins on the back of the screen engage. The connection between the Skyview and VP-X require a 3 wire shielded cable. I removed 2 barrels for the TX & RX connection and also one ground wire. Before making this connection, the mail man showed up with an envelope from Dynon. I needed a 1.21k resistor between the GTN650 and the transponder. The resistor ships with transponder, but I’m holding off until later to purchase the transponder. I had run and connected all wires, except the connection to the GTN650. The good folks at Dynon saw my post on VAF searching for a resistor and offered to send me one. Thanks DYNON! I soldered the resister inline, and covered with shrink wrap. I’ll finish the DB37 tomorrow.
