I received some 1x1x1/16 angle from ACS today. I cut a piece of angle and match drilled to the left side of the panel. This will be the left mount for the radio stack. I sandwiched the angle between the instrument panel and the sub panel. This allows the radio stack to move about 5/8” to the left which will help better center the Dynon screen. Although the panel on the left is raised above the sub panel by 1/16” because of the angle between the panels, it will never be seen once the top forward skin is attached. Thanks go out to Widget for the tip. I’m still waiting on the avionics from Stein before I can cut the panel.
