No pics tonight—they’re all starting to look the same anyhow. I kept finding more pinholes from the previous session, so I tried a new approach. I sanded off all of the sanding primer, now it’s back down to bare glass. Mixed up a batch of resin and applied to all of the top side of the fairing spreading with a credit card. After it cured for a day, I sanded with 120 grit paper followed by 400 grit. Cleaned up the dust and sprayed a very light coat of sanding primer. After it dried, I shot another very light coat. Finally—progress. All of the pinholes appear to be gone—surface now appears very smooth. I’ll check again tomorrow in direct sunlight—if ok, I’ll move on to drilling out holes and installing nutplates.
