Brief Description:  Fitting Side Skirts 3: Skirt Issue

Well I've ordered two pieces of 0.032 aluminum cut into 2 pieces 3" X 30". Why

First I taped the skirt into place. I examined my holes to make sure they would hit the side rails in a good place and I discovered at the aft end my holes just grazed the rail. Well that's no good.

Then I looked at the front and there is a triangle gap. This gap is just built in or designed in. It bugs me. The airplanes I looked at at EAA flyin had this gap. Some tried to fix it with what looked like fiber glass filler.

So, I had a brillant idea. Shift the skirt forward to hide this gap, and that would also bring the aft holes forward to hit the rail.

Issue is the skirt is an inch to short.
