Brief Description: Fitting Side Skirts 4: Skirt Issue
I considered patching a piece of skirt in with the scrap 0.032 that I've got. But decided against it since this holds the canopy.
I also decided moving the skirt forward was an elogent way to fix the triangle gap. It really should have been designed this way anyway. There is a bend in the fuselage/longeron and it is at this bend that the forward frame skin and side skirts should meet. Instead they are designed to meet an inch aft and that causes the gap problem.
So I've just ordered to longer pieces of aluminum sheet. Cost for this improvement $8 bucks.
