I like the result. It took a little bit of work. I like the fairings being screwed on. The screws give a good way to slowly and completely pull the fairing against the fuselage. The little plastic tube does push out on the fairing a bit so I don't see that using glue or pro-seal as a permanent solution.
Plus when I paint I might have to get the rudder cables out of here and I'll be able to be removing the fairings.
Seems like a little extra weight with the platenuts and screws. I'll get some shorter screws. I do like these stainless screws. I'll get some #8 stainless for the hold down clamp also.
