Brief Description: Mount Vertical Stabilizer (Fin) 1
Next per plan is to mount the vertical stabalizer. First you clamp and drill a bracket to the forward spar of the horizontal stabilizer (HS). I drilled one hole per drawing to help locate it. Then clamped and drilled the other three.
Then I trimmed off the flange of the forward fin spar. Should have trimmed off the web as well, but I end up doing it later.
Then I clamped the fin on the fuselage. Drawings has a measurement called out for vertical position of the fin. It 7 11/32 from top of longeron to top of hinge bracket. So I measured carefully and clampled the fin in place. I also checked to keep it centered.
