Since I'm thinking about the aft fuselage I noticed the note about locating the static port. I have the ports and since the fuselage is easily accessible I decided to mount them.
I started at the recommended location but due to the diameter of the SafeAir static mount I moved the center 1 1/4 inches forward rather than 11/16.
I used 4 rivets. Directions say anywhere between zero and 6 will work. Zero is for guys who glue it on with pro-seal. SafeAir puts a groove on the flange for centering the rivets and maintaining edge margin.
