Then I studied the drawing for hole placement and did some calculations. I figured the circumference of the tube is 3.5325 inches and the 6 holes are equally spaced 0.589 inches apart. So I made a piece of paper that could be wrapped around the tube and marked the hole locations on it. Then I taped it around the tube and used the hole punch to transfer the hole locations onto the tube. I slipped off the paper collar and put it on the other 3 tube ends and did the same thing. I got pretty consistant hole placements on all four ends of the tube. I measured the drawing and determined the holes were 1/4 inch from the edge.
