Brief Description: Elevator - Making the Bender from 2 X 8's
I made the sheet metal brake or bender out of a 10 foot 2X8 cut in half. I put hinges every 10 inches. I left about a 1/8th gap. It worked good for an initial bend, but it left too much spring back. After bending the right elevator with this I had about 8 inches gap. So I moved the hinges and remade this bender with zero gap.
