Brief Description:  VS Primer and Spray Box

I primed the VS tonight. I cleaned and degreased them with EkoClean from Stewart Systems as on the HS. And, I'm still using the SEM self etching primer in the rattle can. But I built a new spray collection box. See photos. I used a couple of mirror boxes from U-haul. They measure 32" X 48". I punched holes in the top with a 1/4 inch drill and hooked my dust collector to each box. Then I also put drop-clothes all around because I hate getting paint or primer on the floor and tools. It worked pretty well. The vacuum system maintained a negative pressure in the boxes and the over spray was sucked down into the boxes. I figured it dried before it got to my vacuum bags. There are still fumes in the air and I still where my mask, but the over spray, dust, and smell is pretty contained. And the boxes are light weight and easy to put up into the rafters to get out of the way. Notice I am also placing a 4 inch wire mesh on top of the boxes. This holds the parts off the card board and off any dust that might collect. The SEM takes a couple light coats and holds well. Heavy coats don't hold.
