The primer went on pretty smooth. Using rattle cans does through out a small blob once in awhile, but those blobs smoothed out, for the most part. I used 3 thin coats so self etcher has time to do its thing and ensure a good stuck on primer. It did not cover the ink marks completely, but did cover them up a bit. Later I had to do some touch ups because I had very think coating on some of the side flanges. But next day the primer seemed hard and wouldn't scratch off. So on to riveting.
