Brief Description:  Elevator Plastic Tips 11

Then I made several attempts to smooth on some thick expoxy thickened with micro balloons and flux. But it looked terrible. Lucky, there is a Corvette expert in the area. Roger, has 50 years yes 50 years of experience building Corvette's and has never taken less than first place in all car shows he enters. He is truly a legend and he lives just down the street.

So Roger came over and said several things that readers of this log should note:

1) It would have been better not to try and fill this gap because filling a gap between dissimilar materials is a problem unles the materials are thick enough to taper. These are not. So maybe this will crack. Maybe not.

2) The woven cloth is not the right stuff to use because the weaves will show on a bright sunny day, no matter what you do. Better to use the random thread cloth.

Anyway, since I'm this far, he helped and showed me how to smear on a nice flat layer. It gets sanded.
