Next I discovered I need to have aluminum backing strip for the pop (pulled) rivets to attach to. So I found the trim bundle had a few strips for this so I cut them to length.
Then I had to attach them to the fiber glass tips. I decided to use epoxy glue. It didn't hold very well for drilling the holes. If I did it again I'd use Proseal. But I got it done with the epoxy.
Later when I enlarged the holes to 1/8, the strips came off in spots and I had to re-apply some glue.
The rivets eventually hold these so the glue is just temporary.
