The last project for the day was getting the pitot tube mast roughed into place. The SafeAir1 mast I purchased came with instructions. First step was to tape their template in place on the wing skin. Using a step drill bit and my dremel tool I slowly cut the skin of the wing. By taking my time I was able to end up with a very nice cut out, with out taking any excess material. The last step of the day was drill the mast to the skins and the flange of the wing spar.
The pitot tube needs to be drilled and tapped to mount on the mast and I still need to dimple the wing skin and countersink the base of the mast before riveting to the aircraft.
