Brief Description: Anti-Splat nose gear brace, tow bar lugs
Tony Malley, my sister's husband, dropped by to help with the nose gear mods. Before I got here, I installed longer nose gear lugs: These came with a tow bar modified with longer lug tubes, all designed to fit inside the nose tire boot once installed.
Tony and I then installed the Anti-Splat nose strut brace, designed to address a history of RV-7A (tricycle gear) nose strut failures on unimproved runways. Image 3 shows the design quite well, engineered to transfer bending forces to the top and bottom of the strut.
