Brief Description:  Flap extension sensor, part 2

I used an armiture from an RC aircraft model servo to connect the adel clamp to the potentiometer. I bent a loop in one end of the armiture, and a Z-bend in the other. I ran the looped end through an AN-3 bolt with two locking nuts: One holds the bolt tight onto the adel clamp, and the other creates the wall that holds the armiture in place. Two thin washers sandwich the armiture, which is also lightly lubed with LPS-1 for free travel.

The pot is screwed onto a backing plate of 0.032" ALCLAD and K1000-08 platenuts. This assembly is pop riveted to the center fuselage bulkhead. The sensor connection wires run under the right-most cockpit floor, then up through snap grommets to the space under the sensor assembly. 3 wires connected by a 4-wire molex connector hold it all together, and sit peacefully by the actuator arm. They'll all be covered by the baggage compartment side wall once it's screwed into place.
