Finishing the wing root fairings: With the fairings cleco'd into place, I used a steel bar I had on hand that is exactly 3/16" thick to mark the inboard edge to trim to the 3/16" to 1/4" space per the plans. I trimmed that edge with hand shears, then final-drilled and dimpled for #8 screws, primed, and installed rubber edge channel. Fits perfectly! I set these aside for final installation at some point after the airworthiness inspection and before first flight.
