With the nose fairing finally trimmed and installed, I fitted and riveted the piano hinge to the nose strut fairing. This strut fairing is the piece that came with my Anti-Splat leg brace.
Image 3 shows the metal shims I have that are exactly 1/8" thick, which is the required space required between the wheel and leg fairings. I kept shaving the leg fairing's bottom surface until I had a nice transition between the two with exactly 1/8" space.
