Brief Description: Alternate Air Door/oil line conflict, Part 2
Image 1 shows how the new neck riser ring angles the air door away from the FAB snorkel, but still mounts and operates according to its original design.
Image 2 shows one of the tabs and rivets attaching the riser ring to the base plate. Other other tab and plate are (as pictured) at the 4 o'clock position.
Image 3 shows the door's clearance from the oil return line...about 1/4" clearance.
Problem solved.
THe door plate mounts flush, but angles away from the FAB when opened
The door now misses the oil return line...problem solved.
