I decided to craft canopy frame skirts to give me about 3/4" overlap on each side. This will cover the gap between the canopy frame and the cockpit sill. First, with the canopy closed, I used white posterboard to craft a template that I'll later use to draw out cut lines on white 0.045 sheet alclad.
In images 2 and 3, I used West systems low-density filler in their epoxy resin with slow hardener to build up the indented sides of the frame. I could not get these sides even and straight when I originally build the frame, so I'm using this filler approach to get the sides straight and even with the fuselage sill below.
