Brief Description: Horizontal stab end caps: Filling, final install
Like the other empennage end caps, I closed off the trailing edge hollow end of these horizontal stabilizer end caps. On 8 Oct, I used sheet balsa to form a basin in the end of each cap, and used balsa and tape to enclose the edges to hold an epoxy rosin/microfiber slurry. A week later (15 Oct), I sanded them down and airblasted the powder out of the pinholes, which I then filled with a straight rosin/hardener mix. On 23 Oct, I sanded that down to 600 grit to final shape, then pop-riveted the finished caps onto the horizontal stabilizer ends.
