Brief Description:  Building, installing nose gear assemblies

I build up the nose wheel/tire assembly. Bought a vice grip with a monster 12"x8" mouth, and it opens to about a 12" max opening: This was perfect to squeeze together the two axle end caps sufficiently to let me get the fork assembly over the wheel and end caps.

Once assembled and mounted onto the nose strut, I adjusted the gear nut and squeeze washer until I had exactly 22 pounds of lateral pull-out force each side to get the strut to turn (image 3).
