Brief Description: Beacon fuselage mount stiffiners
I'm mounting Aveo Red Baron XP (bottom) and Mine Red Baron (top) LED anti-collision beacons to the fuselage top and bottom, about 1/2 way back from the cargo compartment to the tail. I measured/marked the placement point 3 inches forward of the 707 bulkhead on dead centerline, then drilled the 3 holes required for each light. I then fabricated 5"x6" skin stiffiners from . 032 alclad sheet, and marked/drilled 426AD3 rivet holes. I matchdrilled through the stiffiners into the fuselage skins. Houston climbed in and helped me dimple the top/bottom holes with the pull-rivet dimple dies. I deburred/dimpled/primed the stiffiners.
