Brief Description: Mounting and fitting the rudder
I installed all 3 rod end bearings to the rudder, taking extra time to ensure I have each one extended the right distance from the spar.
My neighbor Kelly Fisher-Goodwin helped me hang the rudder. It swung freely right off the bat, and the clearances between the vertical stab and the rudder counterweight horn are totally consistent! Zero adjustments required.
I'll move on to the max swing (35 degrees allowed) later, because as you can see in Image 2 the tail extends up into the rafters of the basement...I can't get full swing yet.
