Brief Description:  Fine-tuning the Vertical Stab, and DRILLING THE HO

I raised the vertical stab's rear spar along the fuselage rear bulkhead to meet the distance requrement between the bottom rudder bearing bracked and the fuselage aft deck, then clamped them spar to the bulkhead.

Then, for an hour, I measured distances on each side of the tail from the front and rear tips of the vertical and horizontal stabilizers, softly nudging it left or right until I had precise measurements between the front and rear tips.

With those all in agreement and solidly clamped, I DRILLED THE HOLES! These mounting holes in both stabilizers' forward spars are pretty critical, since it sets the angle of incidence for the the vertical stab. Get it off, and you can't take it back and the aircraft's handlling will be off.

WIth the front holes drilled, I mounted the elevator horn up stop block, then drilled the bolt holes through which the vertical stab bolts to the up stop block.
