Brief Description: Mounting the elevator to align the control horns
Awaiting my new flexible hoses, I asked Col Rich Donnelly to help me skip ahead to the empennage fitting and mounting. We clamped the horizontal stabilizer to the bench and mounted the elevators. With the counterweight horns clamped flush to the stabilizer, we noted which of the two control horns was built rotated more aft, and drilled the master hole per the plans. We also measured the distance between the two control horns: 0.856 inches.
