Brief Description: Bolt wing root doubler into position.
Although the original wing root doubler was held in place with rivets, and acceptable alternative is AN3 bolts. I found it best to select the bolt length manually, rather than depending too much on Zenith's guidelines..
1) For all wing root doubler bolts, except those behind the extrusion angle 6ZU1-1: A) Check the actual bolt length needed. B) Install an AN960-1 washer under the head. C) Insert the bolt in the hole. D) Place a second AN960-10 washer on the back side. E) Loosely attach a lock nut. F) Tighten the bolt and nut until snug. G) Torque the bolt/nut to 23 foot-pounds, per Zenith guidelines. H) Place a drop of torque seal on the nut, to show the assembly had been correctly torqued.
