1) Located upper rudder bearings, 6T4-3. 2) Removed extra material with the band saw, per drawing 6T4. 3) Filed and smoothed edges. 4) Mounted rudder on aircraft, using lower bearing to determin position. 5) Slipped bearing around hinge 6B2-4, and marked positions. 6) Pilot drilled 6T4-3 to rudder, and clecoed. 7) Rechecked positon on aircraft agains upper and lower rudder hinges. 8) Opened holes with #20 bit for A5 rivets. 9) Deburred part, and primed mating surfaces with zinc chromate primer. 10) Riveted part to rudder, using hand rivet tool and A5 rivets. 11) Rechecked fit.
This was a bit of a nightmare job, checking and rechecking everything.
