I installed the bushings and bolts per the drawing 6S5, with the following exception: The bolts called out are AN3-6A, which means they use locknuts, rather than castelated nuts.
I simply do not believe it is wise to depend on a locknut for security, when the bolt is subject to rotational forces. I replaced them with drilled bolts of a similar size, and castelated nuts.
I placed the tuirnbuckles on the rudder control horns, tightened them, and safteyed them with safetry wire. The controls seem very stiff to me, but they certainly aren't going anywhere.
