1. Checked lower nose cowling fit with carby in place. 2. Initally, it looked like it might be possible to cut the interior of the air inlet and get a fit. This proved to not be the case. 3. Task deferred while I think it over. My feeling is that it may be necessary to remove part of the lower cowl, then fiberglass a cowling section in place over the carby.
