Brief Description:  Rear stick connector

I made a test bracket for the rear control stick. I want to be able to remove the stick when I have 4 legged creatures in back or young kids. The wire from the stick needs to stay close to the pivot point of the stick. The wires come out the side of the stick so the forward and aft movement of the stick does not put much stress on the wire.

My idea is to rivet a bracket onto the lower part of the control column, then attach one side of a D-Sub connector to this bracket. The wires will get clamped to the control mount and run to the forward part of the plane to join the front stick wires. Hopefully you can see the photo what I am trying to accomplish. I am just holding the bracket in place for the photo.

Getting this right the first time is kind of critical because I get one shot at this. If I make it too short then the stick will resist forward movement and this will affect the smoothness of the controls. Too long I could deal with to some extent. I will ponder this overnight.
