I was swamped with stuff today so I only worked a couple hours. I decided to hook up the pitot heat warning system, this is optional. But the EFIS display has some user defined warnings they basically act like warning lights. I decided to use one position for the pitot heat warning light. I had run the wire already just in case so it was a matter of splicing into the EFIS harness.
I need to come up with better labels but you can see I the photo, I set green is good and yellow comes up with the bold text “MALF” for malfunction. When the Pitot heat is on and has a malfunction this will light up. I will have to re-read the section on this to make sure my labels make sense but you can make them whatever you want as long as they don’t exceed 4 characters.
