Brief Description:  Rivet (R) gap seal, make aileron bushings

I had to reset a rivet on one of the small aileron push rods. After the rod ends where welded on I drilled holes and sprayed some Corrosion-X inside the tube and then sealed the hole with a pop rivet, one of the rivets was not sealing well so I re-set it with some JB weld for good measure. After it was all set I painted the ends that had the powder coating removed with some white Rustoleum.

Next small task was to rivet on the brace that attaches to the pitot mount and the wing rib. Since I was in a riveting mood, I riveted the (R) aileron gap seal to the upper wing.

I still needed to fabricate some of the bushings for the aileron hinges, once that was done I mounted the (L) aileron and used the jig to line the aileron up with the neutral point. Next was to adjust the small pushrod that goes between the aileron and the bell crank to match the neutral position. There is a jig that comes with the kit, you attach it to the same bolt on the bell crank that the aileron push rod attaches too, then adjust the rod length so the jig sits flush with the wing spar. Now that I have the ailerons set to neutral, the flaps can be set to match this neutral reference.
