Well I am still slowly moving forward, the canopy is a big step and I am not working in the shop much, but my brain is working 24/7. In an effort to move forward I decided to install the top skin. I first needed to remove about 9 rivets that they installed at the factory on my quick build fuselage. I discovered these rivets and marked them when I initially drilled the top skin to the fuselage.
The drilling out of these rivets turned out to be a pain in the ass. There have been few times in the build when I have had to redo work done at the factory and I must say I get really irked when this happens. I fly airplanes for a living and attention to detail is paramount, I only ask that others do the same, of course that never happens.
After fighting and getting all of the rivets out I dimpled the holes in the forward top skin. I will install this tomorrow; it was late, although I felt like I had another hour in me.
Rivet need to be removed, these were the easy ones
