Another month almost down, this month marks the 2 year point in my project. I did not log many hours in the shop but I spent most of the day working on stuff related to the plane. I started off this morning painting the panel. I wet sanded the coat from yesterday and then gave it another coat of paint. It is not perfect but I will be adding a matte finish clear coat after the labels are done so slight surface imperfections are no big deal. Where I spent a large part of the day was deciding how to label the switches. I again used Turbo CAD to make up the labels. I ran out to the copy store and had them copy the labels onto clear transparencies so I could tape them to the panel for a look see. The photos are the version I like the best; I posted them to VAF to get some opinions. The idea is someone not familiar with the plane but knowledgeable about flying should be able to interpret the function of the switches.
