Brief Description:  Front seatback

Well I have not done any work since prior to the weekend. We went away for the weekend to deliver a horse, pony really to a nice young girl. It was a nice trip to Lopez Island; I had never been there before.

At any rate I digress, I spent the day doing household chores but wanted to get some work on the plane done. I need to prime the elevator parts which I did not want to tackle today so I thought I would look ahead and see what I could do on the fuselage. I decided to work on the front seatback. After getting the parts together I thought I had some bad parts. The seat side rails were really bent, well after reading the instructions they are supposed to be that way. What is odd is that the drawing does not show the curve in these parts. I then went on to measure and cut a section of hinge for the seatback. Well you know the old saying measure 3 times and cut it once. I really should have followed that advice. I managed to cut the hinge exactly 1 inch too short. I have a habit from wood working of not using the end of the tape measure since the end tap can work loose and make all of your measurements off. If I am concerned about the accuracy of the measurement I use the 1 inch line and then measure from there, well this means you have to add 1 inch to the total you need. In my case I forgot this on little element in this procedure and hence a hinge that is exactly 1 inch short. The silly part is I was using a metal ruler and not a tape measure, so using the 1 inch line was just plain silly. With this mistake I decided building was not in the card for me today.
