Brief Description:  Drilled Left HS ribs to spar, marked and fluted

The plans have you do one side of the HS at a time, from my reading of the old style kit; they would build up the entire HS frame and mount it in a Jig. Today I clecoed the frame for the left side then drilled all the rib attach holes except for the 708 to 603, these holes will get drilled later and will get blind rivet per the plans. I also clamped the 405 and 404 ribs in place to mark the approximate location of the holes. Using these holes as reference, I fluted the ribs. This turned out to be more trial and error fluting. Up to now I have only fluted ribs with pre-drilled holes. I would use a technique where I would use a straight edge to see how the holes lined up then flute them into alignment. Well with no holes I had to flute to get the rib to lay flat there by making the flanges as flat as possible. They turned out OK but some of the flange hangs below the skin by like 1/32. After consulting with some other sites it seems to be OK to file down the protruding part of the flange.
