I sanded down the layup on the elevator tips as well as the VS tip. The elevator tip is too flimsy with just one layer of cloth so I laid up another layer on the inside and added a bead of filler to the side radius to fill the void, I installed the tip and squeezed out the excess filler and left to cure.
