Brief Description:  More wiring ideas

I kind of took a breather today. I wanted to get the seatbelt anchors done on the aft fuselage but my bucker has gone to a horse clinic for the weekend. I riveted on the tab under the Dynon EFIS, my thought is I can undo this clamp and that will provide enough slack in the harness that the panel can be pulled out for any work required. Everything is easy to get to with the top skin off; I have to plan for when the top skin is in place. Also, rivets will have to be bucked behind the panel so I have to plan for that as well. I next turned my attention to the Safety Trim control box, I have an idea to put it in the battery bay, I have room and I like the access there better than putting it under the floor someplace. Some have put this behind the back seat, behind the baggage wall. All the wires go forward from the aft baggage area and 4 wires would go behind the panel, it just does not make sense to me to add the weight of a bracket in the back when I have room up front. I just need to confirm if there will be EMI issues with it near the battery and standby alternator regulator. I did lay the control column in place; I will need to know its rough location for routing wires and things. One of the issues with the Safety Trim is where to tie it to the control stick trim switches; I will need to get control sticks cut and the grips mounted so I can decide where these wires will tie together. I would like to start the canopy but I don’t have enough time left at home before my next trip so I will concentrate on the flight controls. Now that the aft skin is in place I can start hooking those things back up.
