Brief Description:  Route battery cable to firewall NOT!

I did some chair flying in front of my proposed instrument panel layout. This was suggested to me from some who has done some test pilot work with the military. The idea is you go through all of the movements you would on a typical flight; this should tell you if instrument and switch locations are suitable. The last thing I did today was to remove the front seat support and floor since I need to start some electrical wiring. I pondered for a long time and got nowhere with the route the main cable from the battery to the starter contactor on the firewall. I have to run from the aft end to the firewall and the plans have you run up the left side, that means the cable has to run through all of the fuel lines under the left console, between the fuel lines and the rear rudder pedal idler arm, I just don’t see how it can be done without chaffing occurring. I think I might run it up the right side like dome have done.
