Brief Description:  Left Fuel Sender

Well I think I have been suffering from builder’s block this seems to happen when I have been away from the project for one reason or another. I had hoped that I would have made my engine decision by now but due to being gone and playing tag with one of the companies I have yet to buy the engine. The engine has consumed my brain cells so I don’t seem to get into the shop and get any work done. Part of the problem is what to work on next. I need to use some proseal for several items so I need to prepare all of those items so I don’t waste the one and only tube of proseal I have bought, and I need to use it soon since it has a 4 month shelf life according to Van’s which is up in another month.

So today I collected the parts for the left fuel tank sender. I need to install the sender and the fuel pick up, all of which will require some proseal. I will have to rivet on the anti rotation bracket to the cover as well and use proseal there. Well I must be snake bit because I finally get through my builders block and decide to start something and I find I need parts. The AN833-6D bulkhead elbow that the fuel pickup connects to was not in my kit. I only received one fitting this style and size and that went to connect the fuel pump to the firewall. I called Van’s and they are sending the part post haste. So I spent the rest of the hour looking over the plans on the install of the various parts that go on the fuel tank cover.
