Brief Description: Cut small aileron push rods and aluminum bushings
I finished up attaching the brackets to the ailerons and put them away for now, they will be fitted later on in the process. I now need to get started on the aileron bell crank and the push rods. I cut the small push rods to size and inserted the threaded pieces that the bearings will attach to. I have one that I can’t get back out; I guess it will stay there! I plan to have these welded instead of using the two rivet method. I have a friend who is a retired welder and he offered to do these for me, I hear with the rivets there can be interference with the rear spar so hopefully this will keep me from having that issue.
Next I drilled the holes in the bell crank for the AN hardware and I cut out the small aluminum bushings that are part of the bell crank assembly; then I called it a day.
