Brief Description:  Trouble shoot fuel system

I learned last night that I should get 25 or so psi for my fuel pressure and 4-5 GPH on the leak test. I found my first problem when I hooked up a test pressure gauge; it read 24 PSI when the plane was reading 11 psi. I quickly realized I must have something wrong on the EMS setup and sure enough the gauge type was set for a carbureted engine not fuel injected. Another test now shows my gauge reads a bit high 29 PSI instead of 24 PSI. I called Dynon and an OHM check of the gauge show that it is bad, is should read around 8 OHM and I am reading 10 OHM so this will make it read a bit high. Dynon does not use this type of sender anymore but the guy helping me is going to look around the shop for left over sender for me.

Now I needed to figure out the flow problem. I ran fuel into a cup for 1 minute and 10 oz came out so I know I am getting 4.6 GPH which is in line with what I should be getting. In removing the flow meter to check for debris I realized when I removed it to hook up the wires I installed it back in reverse! After hooking it back up the correct way and doing a flow test my gauge now read exactly 4.6 GPH!
