Brief Description: Marking the contour with upper cowl.
After getting all the baffles cut and sanded down to my initial flush fit line I was time to go for the 3/8”-1/2” gap needed. I used the paperclip method for this. You install a lot of paper clips, carefully lower on the cowl to compress the paper clips. The edge of the clips now show you where the edge of the cowling is located, it is then a simple matter of measuring in from the edge of each clip and then joining these marks. This is a bit time consuming but fairly accurate way to get a nice even gap with the cowling.
