Brief Description:  2. Marked fairing location.

Once outside I made some Styrofoam spacers to fill the gap between canopy skirt and the top skin. There was a part of the skin that the canopy frame would hit, so like others when I fit my canopy frame I cut this off. However in fitting the skirt I cut it at the scribe marks provided and this left the skirt short of it should ideally go. The spacers will give the wet epoxy some support as I glass in the windscreen fairing.

After I was happy with this I started to mark the lower windscreen fairing location. I also made a template that has the curve for the transition to the skirt. This template allowed me to mark an identical shape on the opposite side and I will use it as a pattern to cut the fiberglass. I have been called out on a trip so I will be off the project for a couple days, it will be good to fly, I seriously need the landings. Being On-Call and not getting called for trips has been great for building but not my proficiency. After the plane is done there will be plenty of time to work trips, I will have to, so I can pay for the gas to fly this thing!
