I worked more on the avionic cooling fan. I used some florist foam to for the shape of the duct that will move the air to the instruments. I used the ban saw for the rough shape then used a file and fine sand paper for the final shape. After trying some on a test piece I used some spray clear coat on the foam part. The florist foam is really soft and I wanted to give it a bit of rigidity before I started to lay up the fiberglass. It will get a layer of wax on it as a release agent before I lay on the glass.
While the clear dried I laid up 3 layers of cloth that will become the base of the duct (part against the baggage wall) Once outside shell is glassed and cured I will attach the upper part to this flat section, this whole assembly will attach to the baggage wall. I sprayed on last coat of clear and left it till tomorrow.
