Brief Description:  Filled gap at the track

After our Sunday ritual of coffee and watching all the political shows I got down to the shop to work more on the skirt. I drilled all of the skirt to frame holes to #30 for the pop rivets that will hold it on. I tried one more time to use heat to close the slight gap I have on the left skirt but that did not work.

I waxed up the track and sides then mixed up slurry of micro and resin to a nice thick paste then laid it on the fuselage where the skirt edge is located. I laid a big blob at the track area to fill in the gaps. This is to get me a nice tight fit with the canopy closed. I have small pieces of balsa wood covered with packing tape and then waxed to keep the slurry from getting under the track. The slurry runs the entire length of the ā€œSā€ curve area, this will fill in my gap on the left and any slight areas in other places.
