Brief Description:  1. Fwd Baggage conduit

I am working on a test fiberglass project to learn a bit about the process so in between step while things cured I did get some work done. I am trying to get all the stuff done in the hard to reach area of the forward cockpit. One of the things I still needed to do was to install conduit through the top of the forward baggage area. This conduit will carry all of the engine sensor wires and the GPS antenna cable. I was going to just have the wires loose but then I had the idea of using the ribbed conduit like use for the wires in the wing. Since I had to drill at ¾” hole in the aft baggage wall very near the top I wanted to rivet on a reinforcing ring.

The conduit gets tension by snapping the conduit into the valley in the corrugation, since the firewall has a large stainless pass through I needed a way to anchor the conduit at the firewall end. I made a retainer out of sheet aluminum with the same ¾ inch hole. Now the conduit is nice and taught.
